Information on the 8th International Forum on Clean Energy (Macao)
IFCE is hosting the 8th International Clean Energy Forum, which will be taking place in Macao from 19th to 21st November 2019 with the support of the Macao SAR government and the China Economic and Social Council of the CPPCC. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China, and as such our forum aims to respond to the Chinese government’s outlined development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through promoting the region’s green and high quality energy development.
IFCE is an international non-profit organization with its headquarters in Macao, dedicated to developing sustainable eco-societies for all. With this purpose in mind, IFCE strives to provide research-based policy analysis, facilitate R&D efforts, promote investment in clean energy and popularize the clean energy market.
The theme of the 8th IFCE is “To Promote the Green Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, To Stride towards a New Era of High Quality Energy Development”. The forum will focus on the Keynote Speech Conference, “The Round Table on Offshore Wind Power in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, “The Summit on Technology Innovation and Market Development of LNG in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, “The Round Table on Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Innovation and Investment” and “The Round Table on Energy Internet Technology Innovation and Investment”. The conference will launch both the “2019 Blue Book on International Clean Energy Industry Development” and the “2019 Blue Book on the Green Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”. The conference will also see the presentation of the International Clean Energy Awards – “Person / Enterprise of the Year 2019”, along with demonstrations for clean energy and smart energy related new products and technology.
The forum will invite relevant leaders from the UN, CPPCC and Macao SAR government, the heads of energy and power departments from domestic and foreign governments, and delegates from industry associations, enterprises and research institutions. They will come together for discussions concerning the high quality use of offshore wind power, hydropower, natural gas and the Energy Internet. There will also be discussions on power policy, market and technology innovation. These will aim to promote green development, along with energy and power investment cooperation in the Greater Bay Area. The People’s Daily Online, The Xinhua News Agency, The CPPCC Network, China Energy News and other media outlets will report on the conference.
