托馬斯•蓋斯

托马斯•盖斯先生于 2013 年 9 月 3 日就任联合国经社部助理秘书长，负责政策协调和机构间事务，带来了双边和多边发展合作的广泛经验。 2009 年到 2013 年间，他曾担任瑞士驻尼泊尔使馆总领（瑞士发展与合作署大使与国家主任）。托马斯• 盖斯先生出生于 1963 年，拥有在苏黎世的瑞士联邦理工学院自然科学博士学位和农业科学的工程硕士学位。

Thomas Gass of Switzerland was appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moonas Assistant Secretary-General for Policy Coordination and Inter-Agency Affairs in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and sworn into office on 3 September 2013. Mr. Gass brings with him wide-ranging experience in bilateral and multilateral development cooperation, including from August 2009 to July 2013, he has served as Head of the Mission of Switzerland to Nepal (Ambassador and Country Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation) Mr. Gass holds a PhD in natural sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurichand an MSc and engineering diploma in agricultural sciences from the same Institute.
