Conference theme: Energy transition and international cooperation in the context of global carbon neutrality

Invited Speakers:  Primarily keynote speakers, including scientists, business leaders, government officials, and international organization representatives from both China and the international community.

Theme Summit Topic 1：How to ensure a balance between energy security, affordability, and sustainability during the energy transition process?

Theme Summit Topic 2：The "North-South Divide" is becoming more pronounced, and green finance is playing a prominent role, how to achieve a fair and just energy transition?

 

Sub-forums

  1. Contents: A total of 6 sub-forums will be held, each lasting 90-120 minutes. The preliminary discussion with Portuguese counterparts has determined the following sub-forum topics: ① Photovoltaic; ② Green Hydrogen; ③ Energy Storage; ④ Green Power; ⑤ Offshore Wind Power; ⑥ Green Finance.
  2. Guests and duration: Each sub-forum is scheduled to have 6 speakers and each speaker will be allotted 6 minutes, with the remaining time dedicated to interactive panel discussions and dialogues. The number ratio of Chinese and foreign participants could be 1:1.

Photovoltaic Theme:  From Quantity to Quality - Challenges and Solutions for Photovoltaic as the Main Power Source in the Transformation of Energy Structure

Interactive panel discussion topics:

  1. How can photovoltaic energy storage be deeply integrated to achieve effective complementarity and be comparable to conventional power sources?
  2. The marginal cost of new energy power generation is low, the demand for ancillary services is high, and energy storage equipment is expensive. How to ease future costs?
  3. New application models and future development paths of photovoltaic power generation technology in the future energy structure.

Offshore Wind Power Theme: Approaches and future plans for commercialization of low-cost, high-reliability and high-efficiency floating offshore wind power（FOWT）.

  1. What are challenges and key technologies for integrated design of FOWT?
  2. What are approaches and key technologies for cost reduction of large-scale FOWT transportation and installation?
  3. What are stability control methods for FOWT under extreme sea state with typhoon? How to balance the safety and cost?
  4. The synergistic control of floater and wind turbine is an effective method to improve the efficiency of power generation, what are the technical challenges? How to solve them?
